Subaru Dominates Auto Industry Awards — Wyatt-Johnson Subaru 31% Ahead of 2008 YTD Sales with Best Month in 25-year History
Clarksville, TN (PRWEB) November 25, 2009
Subaru corporate recently announced the 2010 Outback® win of the Motor Trend’s Sport/Utility of the Year® Award, maintaining the Subaru quality and performance. Subaru garnered the same award in 2009 with another vehicle. Sales history at Clarksville-based Wyatt-Johnson Subaru reflect Subaru success.
Additionally, Subaru of America, Inc. today announced that it has been recognized as the only manufacturer with all vehicles named a TOP SAFETY PICK by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
“We are extremely pleased to be the only manufacturer with all vehicles named a TOP SAFETY PICK. This is an outstanding success and a tribute to the engineering that goes into Subaru products,” said Tom Doll, executive vice president and COO, Subaru of America, Inc. “To have this recognition by the IIHS reinforces to our customers that we maintain the highest standards when producing vehicles that are safe, durable, reliable as well as fun-to-drive.”
“Subaru is the only manufacturer with a TOP SAFETY PICK winner in every vehicle class in which it competes,” said IIHS president Adrian Lund. “The vehicles that earn this designation are the cream of the crop for protecting people in the most common kinds of crashes, and they have electronic stability control for helping drivers stay out of many crashes altogether.”
The TOP SAFETY PICK recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rear, and now rollover crashes based on ‘good’ ratings, which denotes ‘good’ as the top ranking status possible in Institute tests. Winners also must have electronic stability control.
The Subaru success is most definitely realized at Wyatt-Johnson in Clarksville. Celebrating their 25th year with Subaru, Wyatt Johnson Subaru dominates Middle Tennessee area sales with 31% increase over last year’s sales to date.
“Without doubt, the quality of a Subaru is getting attention, both nationally as well as locally. The increase of our Subaru sales from last year simply shows we have educated buyers and that Clarksville’s economy remains strong. We have found that sales are strong across the board for Wyatt-Johnson Automotive Group,” shares Katherine Johnson Cannata, Wyatt-Johnson dealer principal.
The Subaru remains a top choice for the well-informed, adventure-loving buyer who has done their homework and knows what they want—and why. Newer features instituted in the 2010 models, such as the electric parking brake as well as more customization options, make the Subaru that much more attractive to buyers. The security features of all wheel drive and off road capabilities have always been strong selling points.
“Needless to say, we are very pleased with our sales to date,” shares Bill Powers, General Manager of Wyatt Johnson Import Division. “It is also gratifying to know we are able to provide the best of quality with Subaru—and that our clients are clearly appreciating what Subaru offers.”

Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
